First of let me say something about the burning of these books.  I am against the burning of almost any book.  I am also proud to live in a society where you are free to burn books if you like.  Just like I am proud to live a society where you are free enough to say burning books is fucked up...especially someone's religious books.
But you go right ahead Pastor Jones...heat your house the Koran...that's awesome.  After all, you are protected by the first amendment.
I think that you do represent a minority in this country.  And your voice should be heard.  One could also this could be a publicity stunt to get more people into your fifty person church.
I, unlike the person writing the anti koran burning article...do live in a society that burns books.  We also burn records...just ask the Dixie Chicks or the Beatles.  We can survive this.  If this were the only incident that would be cool it isn't.
This is part of larger trend where we are trying to see how far to the right we can swing.
How many Tea-Baggers will get elected in the fall?
How many idiots can one country stand serving in government?
Do I think these people are a threat?
Yup...
Do I think they need to be monitered and fought?
Yup...
Americans are the same people who allowed Bush in twice...we'll see about November...

It was too early for John Couger Mellancamp. But then, Diane thought when wasn’t it? “Fucking neighbors…” She muttered

She looked at the clock.  It was 11:30. 

She rolled out of bed, pulled on her shirt and pants, and wandered into the living room.

Diane began to make coffee. The music ended.

“Thank you.” She sighed. The coffee was ready.

She poured a cup and then wandered back into the bedroom.

She sat on the bed and saw the black clothes sitting there folded and washed.  She sighed and didn’t know how to feel. He was her father, after all.

Conspiracy...

The term means an unlawful act committed by two or more people.
9/11 was a conspiracy.
Charles Manson was convicted as part of a conspiracy.
Sacco and Vanzetti were convicted as part of a conspiracy.
They happen all the time.
Almost all drug cases are conspiracies.  I mean, who makes a whole bunch of drugs for themselves?  No one.  They are for sale and distribution.
The term get confusing when we apply it to other situations.
For instance, in the Kennedy assassination... either one.
But more, on that in the future.
For now all I am saying is that this is what a conspiracy is.  Nothing more.  Nothing less.

Wikipedia...

I love me some wikipedia.  After all, I am information whore.  I read almost constantly and am always interested in the written word.  My mom yells at her husband for reading almost constantly but I am the same way.
I was told about wikipedia a few years ago from a friend of mine and avoided it for a few weeks because I knew it was going to be a huge time waster.  I was right.  The moment I got on it I feel in love.  So many articles, so many words, so many facts...and of course such a fabulously right wing slant...
I recently read an article on this...slant I mean. I wish I could say I was stunned but I simply was not.

It is off of a website called www.ctka.net.  These people are conspiracy theorists.  They feel the United States government, (besides delivering the mail) is also capable of murdering people who get into positions of power in which they can change things.
I agree with these people.  I am one of them.  I feel that within my lifetime the country has shifted to the right.
I will explain more about this later.
The article deals with the whitewashing of any form of controversy from articles about Lee Harvey Oswald.
Oswald was a controversial figure.  His life is filled with contradictions and problems.  All of which wikipedia has solved for us...thank you so much. Oswald needs to be presented as controversial. One side presents their issues.  The other side presents their issues.  YOU DECIDE.
Wikipedia will have none of that...

It was past three. The supermarket had been empty since the post work rush. Judith was the first to notice them in the market.  He was tall, pale and bald.  She was thin and had pink hair.  They moved to the produce section.

Then, an executive came in.  His briefcase was by his side, his three-piece suit was crisp, and his hair was slicked back.

A few minutes later, Judith heard the blast of a gun and screaming.

The security camera showed the executive, who now had a hood on running out the front door.  This murder was never solved.
